In Memory

Stacia (Stacy) Slabaugh (Costello) - Class Of 1987

Stacia (Stacy) Slabaugh (Costello)

Stacia M. Costello (Stacy Slabaugh), 52, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home in West Haven, Utah. Stacy was born on August 9, 1969 in South Bend, Indiana to James C. and Toni (Costello) Slabaugh, who have preceded her in death.

Stacy attended John Adams High School but graduated from Clay High School Class of 1988. While in high school she excelled in the Performing Arts and could fake playing the tuba with the best of ‘em in the Eagles Marching Band.

In 1989, Stacy married Michael J. Nowinski and became his closest ally in sharing many adventures while he served in the US Air Force. During their 30-year marriage, they raised a beautiful daughter, Lisa A. Nowinski.

Stacy was extremely generous supporting her daughter’s passion, roller derby. Whatever the team needed, she provided because she just wanted to see her daughter play. Stacy was also generous with a well-placed cut down on unsuspecting co-workers. She was a federal employee at Hill AFB, Utah in the computer technology/cybersecurity career fields for over 14 years. She knew when to be serious and when to relieve her co-workers when things were being taken too seriously.

A Celebration of Stacy’s Life is being planned at a future date.

“God bless, be safe, take care, I love you”
