Frank Green


Frank Green (68), beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa, passed away at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana from complications following a heart attack on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was surrounded by family and friends.

He was born in Natchez, Mississippi to Leslie B. Green, Sr. and Catalina (Batiancila) Green on April 20, 1953. Eleven years later, his family migrated to South Bend, Indiana, where he went on to graduate from John Adams High School (1972). He married Rosemary (Uy) Green in Cebu City, Philippines on July 20, 1985. He worked at Uniroyal for 10 years and Alka Seltzer/Bayer for 16 years.

He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, traveling (especially to Cebu & Natchez), watching Notre Dame football and action movies, and collecting collectibles. He also found joy in regularly volunteering at the Manna House Food Pantry.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Catalina and three siblings - Arnold, Mary Ann, and Roger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; three daughters, Camille Green and her two daughters - Omunique and Lyric; Amethyst Jones, her husband, Jonathan and their daughter, Lillian; and Nicole Mattix, her husband, Justin and their son, Aiden; three siblings - Tyrone Green, Sr. and his wife, Bettye; Leslie Green, Jr. and his wife, Jackie; and Martha Hawkins and her husband, Wayne; as well as a host of family and long-time friends.

Frank will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a gentle, kind, and generous man who believed in the Lord and the usefulness of duct tape.

Services for Mr. Frank Green will be held on December 11, 2021. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM and funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in South Bend, Indiana. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana. The repass will be at Wings, Etc. in Osceola, Indiana and the family requests that everyone who wishes to, wear their favorite baseball cap in memory of Frank.

The family welcomes donations to Manna House Food Pantry or Food Bank of Northern Indiana as an expression of sympathy in lieu of/instead of flowers.
