Everett Charles Griffin - Class Of 1972 VIEW PROFILE

Everett Charles Griffin

Everett Charles Griffin (Charles), 70, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on June 18th from a brief illness. He was born on July 22, 1952, in Ripley, Tennessee and is the son of the late James and Ella (Lynk) Griffin. He relocated to South Bend, Indiana at an early age, and received his education through the South Bend Community School Corporation, subsequently graduating from Riley High School in 1970. John Adams 1970 Upon graduation, he began working for General Electric, where he retired in 2011 after 41 years of service. Charles enjoyed building bicycles, skating, and riding his motorcycle.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles is survived by his four children, Tameka Griffin of Houston TX, Danielle Griffin of Indianapolis, IN, Dustin Griffin of South Bend, IN, and Whitney Griffin of Lafayette, IN; one bonus son, Marcus Battle of Antioch, TN; nine grandchildren, Terral (Destiny) Griffin of Baytown, TX, John Griffin-McCullum of Dallas, TX, DaQuian Griffin and VaSaun Everett Donaldson of Houston TX, Christian and Carter Dillon of Indianapolis, IN, Messiah Griffin of Smyrna, TN, Madison Griffin and Madden Griffin (expected August 2023) of South Bend, IN; six great grandchildren; two nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ella Griffin; his only brother, Kenneth Griffin; and one bonus son, Brian Battle.

A memorial service for Charles will take place at 1 PM on July 1, 2023, at Life Changers Church Formally known as Greater St. Matthew Church located at 2705 Marquette Blvd., South Bend, IN 46628. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to www.boydandsonfuneralhome.com where condolences may be shared.

May God bless Everett.
Adams High seems a long time ago, but his smiling face and kind heart will live on in all of us who studied with him.  
He will rest in eternal peace.
