MISHAWAKA - Patti Jo Quimby, 58, passed away on Sunday, September 16, at home. Patti Jo was born on November 16, 1953, in South Bend, to Charles and Anita (Sperling) Quimby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Pam Quimby; brother-in-law, Daniel Kilgas; and a nephew, Joel Kinney.

Surviving are her son, Ryan Ciula of Mishawaka; sister, Terry Beth Kilgas of South Bend; brothers, Richard "Butch" (Delisa) Quimby of South Bend, Johnny Quimby of Mishawaka and Charles Quimby Jr. of South Bend; and her fiancé, Russell Brown of Mishawaka. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend/sister and eventually sister-in-law, Jill Quimby, and her very loved nieces and nephews, Kelly Hunt, Carri (Armando) Quimby, Jon Kinney, Chelsea (Chris) Wilson, Melissa (Jesus) Gutierrez, Jeff Kinney, Marcus (Chrissy) Quimby, Tommy Quimby, Camiel (Nathan) Gibson, Azure Baumgartner and Patrick Baumgartner.

She cherished the time she spent with her great-nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her grandchildren, Taylor Graham, Zachary Quimby, Alyssa Gutierrez, Jake Meehan, Austin Quimby, Jeremiah Wilson, Noah Gutierrez, Gracie Wilson, Jordan Luva, Dylan Quimby, Dane Wilson, Kierstyn Quimby, Jackson Wilson, Evan Wilson, Morgan Gibson, Caleb Chalstrom, Joshua Wilson, Owen Chalstrom and Jillian Gibson. Patti Jo worked for Raco for 23 years and other area companies.

She was a graduate of Adams High School. She loved her dogs, Floof and Junk. She loved Coca-Cola memorabilia, and everyone knew not to drink the last Coke in the fridge. She loved spending time with all the kids with Yahtzee tournaments, sport functions, sleepovers, and whatever fun things she would think of. Her son was the light of her life and she was very proud of him. She loved her family with all her heart and soul and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. She was tough and stubborn, and had some of the most funny conversations. Patti lived her later years with the man she loved, Russell Brown, and could not have been more happy. She was EVERYONE'S "Aunt Patti" and there will never be another like her.

Visitation will be on Thurs., Sept. 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Sept. 21, in Living Stones Church, 718 E. Donmoyer Ave., South Bend, with Sam Barrington officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made in Patti Jo's name to Pet Refuge Inc., 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka IN 46544.
