Cory Pinter

Cory Joseph Pinter

October 8, 1975 ~ February 10, 2024 (age 48)

Cory Joseph Pinter was born October 8,1975. He began his life on September 27, 1976, when he became the son of Ray and Sherry Pinter. On that day he was welcomed by his beloved Sunnymede neighborhood.

He attended St. Joseph Grade School; graduated from John Adams High School and served his country proudly in the US Navy, San Diego. He received special military honors for frequently volunteering to serve festive meals to the orphanages in San Diego and along the Mexican border.

It was important to Cory for others to remember that a right to life means caring and providing for children through adulthood. And that children should not be forgotten after their birth.

Cory met and married his best friend and true love Brandy, who survives with sons, Lo (Katlin) Chris and Jake and a new beloved grandson, Carson. His siblings Katie Erin and Daniel join his parents, Ray and Sherry in remembering his life.  Cory collected many friends along his journey. It didn't matter who you were, where you were from and what you looked like, he wanted to know you.

According to his wishes, his family will keep his passing from this earth meaningful and simple. He requested that others might give their time or a donation to programs like St. Margaret's House for women and children, 117 N. Lafayette Blvd., South Bend, IN 46601 or services like the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545.

His constant companion, sheppard dog, LeeLee was a rescue that offered healing in Cory's final days. He lost his long battle with heart disease on February 10, 2024. His good friend, Jason G., with whom he shared the love of music, especially Bob Marley, often quoted to each other from Marley’s words, “Fly Away Home brother, cause every little thing is going to be alright. Peace to you Pasquale.”   Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.
