Lucee Ann (Williams) Wallace

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Lucee Wallace, wife and mother of four children, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 with Richard, her husband of 65 years, by her side.

Lucee was born in Joliet Illinois and, after graduating from John Adams High School in South Bend Indiana, she earned her RN Diploma from the Evanston Hospital School of Nursing at Northwestern University. She spent the next 3 decades doing what she loved: bringing babies into the world.

Along the way, she married Richard Wallace on June 5, 1957 and together they raised 2 girls and 2 boys. Lucee and Richard were "nomads" and enjoyed living in Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida over the years. She loved wildlife, raising countless Golden and Labrador Retrievers, gardening, birds, and cooking to name just a few of her passions.

Lucee is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Sally (Mich) and Anne (NC), sons Richard (NC) and Fred (SC) and a sister Helen (Minn).

There will be a memorial service at Sauls Funeral Home later in the Spring. In addition, there has been a Nursing Scholarship established in Lucee's name to be administered by The Community Foundation of Henderson County in Hendersonville North Carolina. (cfhcforever.org)
