Charles William Grundy

Charles William Grundy, 47, of 1742 N. O’Brien, died at 12:30 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was retired from the Northern Indiana Public Service Co. Born on July 15, 1933, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.

On Sept. 13, 1952, in South Bend, he married Louise Niespo, who survives. Also surviving, are three daughters, Ms. Pamela Szasz of South Bend, Miss Anne Marie and Miss Eileen Grundy, both at home; a son, Daniel of South Bend; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Pat Haefele of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Larry of Los Angeles, Calif., and Michael of Greenville, Ohio; and his mother, Mrs. Eugene Grundy of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.

He was a Euchartistic minister at Holy Cross Church, the director of the We Together Singers for seven years, and had been a volunteer with the United Way.

Memorial contributions may be made to the We Together Singers.
