SOUTH BEND - Curtis "Fred" Lee Sr., 79, passed away on Friday, April 1st, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Fred was born on September 22, 1931, in Logansport, IN, as the son of Curtis and Olive (Marburger) Lee.

He had lived a short time in Douglas, AZ, before returning to South Bend, IN.

Fred was a graduate of John Adams High School.

He was a 10-year veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korea War. Fred was a member of American Legion Post 303 and of the Studebaker Drivers Club.

Fred is survived by two sons, Curtis and David Lee, and a daughter, Janet Lee; two brothers, Richard (Arlene) Lee of Mountain Home, AR, and Gene (Phyllis) Lee of Mishawaka, IN; and a brother-in-law, John Kline of South Bend, IN

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Olive Lee, and by a sister, Shirley Kline, on March 26, 2011.

A celebration of his life will begin at noon Monday, April 4th, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to noon in the funeral home.
