Marilyn Jean (Brant) Hartz

Marilyn Jean (Brant) Hartz, 89, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Milton Home in South Bend.

Marilyn was born on April 19, 1933, in South Bend to the late Dean Robert Brant and Hazel Mae (Coe) Brant-Hinkle. She proudly graduated from John Adams High School and was a longtime member of American Turners Athletic Club in South Bend.

Marilyn shared 64 years of marriage with her husband, Cledith, before his passing in 2016. Together they had three children.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Susan and Linda, her sister, Carol, and brother, John Jack. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kenneth II, Kaitlyn, Brice, April, and Kiri, as well as five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Hazel, and her husband, Cledith. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judith.

In keeping with her wishes no services will be held. Marilyn will be interred beside her late husband at Southlawn Cemetery at a later date.
