Paul D. Green of Carmel passed away on March 3, 2014. He was born to Paul and Florence Green in Chicago, IL.

He graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, IN. "BB Eyes" received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 1955 and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.

Following graduation, he was employed at Bendix Missile Plant in Mishawaka before enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1956. In 1963, he started The Green Asphalt Company in Indianapolis with lifelong friend Sandy Johnson.

He met and married Barbara Jeanne Felty and took up residence in Speedway, Indiana. He then went on to work for Fink Roberts and Petrie, Weihe Engineering, Joe Sexton Company and American Consulting Engineers from where he later retired.

While living in Speedway, he coached and officiated Little League Football as well as Wrestling for 10 years. Paul was honored to receive the USWOA Lifetime Achievement Award and an award for Excellence because of his 39 years of dedicated service to The Indiana State Wrestling Association and The Youth of Indiana. He also received the Mat Official of the Year in 2000-2001 and the John Hurrle Memorial Award for his outstanding contributions to the sport.

In 1997, Paul married Sally Shumaker. Since then, they became active members of Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, loved attending Purdue football, basketball games and wrestling matches. They also enjoyed supporting theater, especially their recent trip overseas to see grandson Bo Frazier's performance in London. Paul's favorite hobby was bragging on his grandchildren to everyone he met. He will be missed truly by friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters Penny J. Pryor and Sandie K. Frazier and son, Mick R. Green (wife Sandy), along with 6 step-children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard and his wife Barbara.
