Dorothy Frances Fisher

Apr. 3, 1931 – Feb. 8, 1988

Dorothy F. Fisher, 56, of 532 S. 36th St., died at 11:25 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

Mrs. Fisher was a telephone operator for Indiana Bell Telephone Co. for 23 years. She was born April 3, 1931, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Feb. 7, 1959 in Mishawaka, she married George A. Fisher, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Rosemarie Wolf, Diane Fisher and Debbie Fisher, all of South Bend; a son, George of South Bend; a grandson; three brothers, Gordon King of Kokomo, Doug King of Charlotte, N.C., and Bud King of South Bend; and her mother, Mary Laura Bell of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd.  She was a member of the church and graduate of Michiana College of Commerce.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
