Lois P. Heitger

Lois P. Heitger, 72, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away after an illness at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, in her home.

Mrs. Heitger was born on April 15, 1925, in Nappanee, Ind. She lived the majority of her life in the South Bend-Mishawaka area, moving to Sun City Center in 1985. She was bookkeeper for 25 years for Bowman Automotive Parts in Mishawaka, Ind.

She was married on Oct. 21, 1944, in the South Bend Second Church of the Brethren, to Edward C. Heitger, Jr., who survives.

She is also survived by a son, Craig Heitger of South Bend, Ind.; a grandson, Thomas Heitger of South Bend; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Linda Riddle of Mishawaka; and by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mel and Audrey Heitger of Glendale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lynn Heitger in 1968; her parents, Claude and Edith Feldman; and by a sister, Toni Rupe.

Mrs. Heitger was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sun City Center. She worked in the King's Point club house library, was active in craft class, and was a member of the ladies 18-Hole Golf League.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 30, at The First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third Street, Mishawaka.
