SOUTH BEND -- Helen L. Koehler, 81, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of South Bend, a sweet, gentle, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2007.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Ted Koehler; sons, Paul (Barbara) Koehler, Tom (Michelle) Koehler and Bob (Cindy) Koehler; brothers, George (Patty) Powers, Richard (Virginia) Powers and Joe (Dixie) Powers; a sister, Pat Cover; grandchildren, Rob, Trina, Marc, Matt, Kate and Bret; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Jackson and Ayla.
Helen was a longtime volunteer at Pennywise of the Mingus Mountain Girls Charity as well as an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Sun City. Helen will truly be missed by her family, and was a very special friend to all who knew her.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. today, April 20, 2007, in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W. Palmeras Drive, Sun City, AZ.
