William Ellis Sayers

William E. Sayers, 59, of 105 Newport Court, Mishawaka, was dead on arrival at 11:49 a.m. Sunday at St Joseph Medical Center after becoming ill on the Notre Dame Golf Course. He was an employee of Safety Service Inc., Kalamazoo. Mr. Sayers was born on July 5, 1925, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
He was survived by four daughters, Ann Rose of Bloomington, Ind., Beth Sampson of Placentia, Calif., Kim Neuland of Portland, Ore., and Gwen Fastabend of Dalton, Ill., four grandchldren: a brother, Richard A. of South Bend: and his father, Arnold Sayers of Bradenton, Fla.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.
