In Memory
Patricia "Pat" T. Randall
Mar. 6, 1927 - Sep. 29, 2016
Mr. and Mrs. John (Jack) and Patricia (Pat) Randall of Grand Haven left this world only days apart and together now rest safely in the arms of their Heavenly Father.
Pat, age 89, was born March 6, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana, to Frederick and Louise (Cudahy) Crowe. Pat passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Grand Pines Assisted Living Center.
Jack, age 93, was born May 6, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Merwyn and Imelda (Voll) Randall. Jack passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence.
Jack and Pat were married on June 17, 1950, at Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. They made many wonderful memories during their 66 years together and shared a love of golf, tennis, and all Notre Dame-related activities. They also enjoyed wintering in Naples, Florida during their retirement years. They were members of St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, and had also lived in Grand Rapids for many years prior to becoming Grand Haven residents. Pat devoted many years to lovingly caring for her family, and she enjoyed volunteering for hospice organizations, the hospital, and local reading programs. She was also involved with the Head Start program and Junior League. In addition to golf and tennis, she enjoyed playing bridge. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and went on to graduate from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He taught for many years at Grand Valley State University and Aquinas College. He also served as the CEO of Challenge Machinery for ten years prior to his retirement, and he was active with the Chamber of Commerce in Grand Rapids, the Rotary Club in Grand Haven, and Habitat for Humanity in Florida.
Jack and Pat are lovingly remembered by their four children: Christine (Russell) Wagner of Chicago, John (Karen) Randall of Naperville, IL, Mark Randall of Grand Haven, and Meg (Mark) Jorgensen of Chicago; nine grandchildren: Graham (Lisa) Mudd, Claire (Mat) Jachim, Jack Randall, Samuel Randall, Lauren (Anthony) Rosafort, Jessica Randall, Meghan (Kurt) Olmer, Alec Jorgensen, and Sarah Jorgensen; five great-grandchildren: Henry, Leila, Carson, Ivy, and Ella; Pat's sister, Joan McShane and brother, Frederick (Rosemary) Crowe; and John's brother, Bernard (Mary Ann) Randall.

A service honoring both Jack and Pat will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, October 3, 2016 at St. Patrick St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Father Ernie Schneider officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven. Memories and Condolences
As a transplanted New Englander, I moved next to Pat and Jack Randall and they were so gracious to me---inviting me to many dinners and social events. I have warm memories of Grand Rapids because of their kindness. Truly special people.
I had no idea we lost 2 such precious people! I was not surprised that they passed within days of each other. I see them forever together in my mind. I would have come in for the funeral and I am so sorry I didn't know about it. Sending lots of hugs and prayers! The Randall family was always just an extension of my own family. My heart is broken but I know that they are in a better place and hanging with my mom in heaven! All my love forever! Pam Mitchell Drummond

We are sorry to hear of the passing of John and Patricia. We met this beautiful couple at Mathew and Claire's wedding rehearsal dinner, I remember it like it was yesterday. The restaurant was filled to capacity with friends and family, it was a whirlwind of people talking, eating, and socializing. Looking back, I scarcely remember the faces and names of many the people I met that evening, but I remember vividly John and Patricia. These two were dynamic; I remember noticing them the minute I walked in the room. The two of them, together, had a way about them. I cannot explain it but I felt myself drawn to them. Gary and I were fortunate enough to have a nice conversation with them. Amidst the wedding celebration, the four of us discovered we had more in common than any of us would have ever imagined. Jack and Patricia are for me, a beautiful memory of Mat & Claire's wedding. We are honored to have met them.
