Carmon Lodine Kreissl

Harlingen - Carmon L. Kreissl went to be with her Lord March 30, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical, Harlingen. Carmon was born on December 18, 1925 in South Bend, Indiana; her parents were Harriett Hatfield and W. F. Hatfield.

Carmon was married to Leary Kreissl on June 26, 1948 and was blessed with a daughter Debora.

Carmon spend 30 years being a Navy wife to her husband, and she spent much time helping the disadvantaged in her community. She was also very active in the church life wherever they were stationed. One area she was very proud of was giving unwed pregnant girls a home with her family.

During their married Navy life they lived in various places in the United States and in Okinawa, ending their career in Norfolk, VA where they remained for 15 years. In 1993 they moved to Harlingen as full time residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. She is survived by daughter, Debora Gillman (Neil), of Virginia and Grandson,

David Jenkins, of Hawaii. Also by nephews Robert (Kathy) Hatfield of Seguin, TX, Jay Kreissl, Seattle, Washington, and John Hedl, Seattle, Washington, and niece, Laura Kreissl, Canada.

Memorial Services will be held at Valley View Senior Center, 1002 King Arthur Dr. where Carmon resided for the last six years. Services will be on Thursday, April 6, 2107 at 2:30
