Albert Eugene Brunt Jr., 49, of 56881 Mayflower, was dead on arrival at 10:56 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was a Bendix Corp. employee, having worked there 28 years.

Born on April 29, 1926, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. On May 25, 1973, in South Bend, he married Bettie Groshans, who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Brunt Sr. of South Bend; four sons, Timothy, Thomas, Randall and Christopher, all of South Bend; a stepson, Richard W. Reed of South Bend; four daughters, Carol, Elizabeth, Susan and Nancy, all of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sharon Szymczak of South Bend; five grandchildren; a stepgrandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Dolores Andrysiak of South Bend.

Services for Albert Eugene Burnt Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rev. Harry D. Collier, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way W.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the St. Joseph’s Young Men’s Society and a World War II Army veteran.
