William Frank Dolde, 79, passed away in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center on April 27, 2006.

Bill was born on December 20, 1926, to William and Lillian (Ley) Dolde.

On September 11, 1948, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Micinski, in St. Matthew's Church. Ruth survives along with their children, Stuart of South Bend and Anne (David) Johnson of Granger.

His brother, Edward Dolde, and sisters, Rosemary Schosker and Lillian Miller, preceded him in death.

Mr. Dolde was a teacher at Nuner School, the first principal of Tarkington School and principal of Marquette School. Bill served the South Bend Community School Corporation for 13 years. Mr. Dolde was an administrator and assistant superintendent at the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation for 22 years. Bill retired in June 1987.

Degrees were earned at the South Bend College of Commerce, Ball State Teachers College and Indiana University. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater of Operations. He was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Church and served with the RCIA and Eucharistic ministries.

Bill was a kind and loving husband, father and friend. Many thanks to Dr. B. Ansari, the nurses of Michiana Hematology and the staff of 6 North Oncology at Saint Joseph Medical Center for their skilled and compassionate care.

There will be a visitation in McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter on Cherry Road, today, April 30, from 2 to 7 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006, in St. Anthony de Padua Church. Burial will be following the service at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony de Padua Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
