SOUTH BEND – Services for Gertrude J. Geyer, 63, of 1106 Byran St., who died about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in her home, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Madison Center.
Mrs. Geyer was night supervisor of Metcalfe House of Madison Center. She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On Sept. 14, 1949, in South Bend, as Gertrude Forsberg, she married Donald Jay Geyer, who died in 1959. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Ann Larson of Kentland, Ind.; a son, Kevin J. of South Bend; and four grandchildren. She was a member of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church and the St. Joseph County Mental Health Association.
