Patricia A. Zubler

Patricia A. Zubler, age 95, passed away in her home on September 17, 2023. She was born on September 4, 1928 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Harold and Emily (Cronin) Lidecker. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Glenn W. Zubler, two daughters, Eileen Viduka and Anne Zubler, two grandchildren, Allen Viduka Jr. and Glenn (Trey) Zubler III, her sister Sarah Diller and nephew Michael Diller.

Patricia graduated from John Adams High School. On June 15, 1946, she married Glenn W. Zubler Sr. and they remained happily married for 73 beautiful years.

Patricia worked as a secretary in the Art Department at the University of Notre Dame for 7 years and worked for 20 years at Indiana Bell (Ameritech).

Patricia is survived by 4 sons, Michael (Linda) Zubler of Houston, Texas, Terry (Cathy) Zubler of North Port, Florida, Glenn (Kristin) Zubler Jr. of Katy, Texas, and Peter (Julie) Zubler of Indianapolis, Indiana, a son-in-Law, Allen Viduka Sr. of Granger, Indiana; nephew, James Lawton of Mesa, Arizona, ten grandchildren, Randy Viduka Sr, Aaron Zubler, Chrissy Kostelecky, Bryan Zubler, Heather Schumacher, April Barricklow, Jacob Zubler, Emily Zubler, Lena Zubler, Nathaniel Zubler; 15 great grandchildren, Justin Kostelecky, Jonathan Kostelecky, Joseph Kostelecky, Sarah Kostelecky, Randy Viduka Jr, Alaia Zubler, Armaan Zubler, Parker Zubler, Carter Zubler, Alta Schumacher, Dexter Schumacher, Hazel Schumacher, Charlie Barricklow, Atlas Barricklow, Cameron Zubler; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Eli Viduka and Lincoln Viduka.

Patricia loved to read, crochet, tend to her rose garden and spoil her beloved cat, Murphy.

Patricia was deeply committed to her family and her faith. Nothing made her prouder than the achievements of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing made her smile more brightly than a new great grandchild.

Patricia loved music and especially the sound tracks from the Broadway Shows. She had a beautiful voice and was proficient on the piano. She was a long-time member of Corpus Christi Parish, the Christ Child Society, Altar and Rosary Society, the Holy Cross Mother Singers and the Telephone Pioneers.

The Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 followed by visitation until 7:00 pm at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 North Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Drive. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or ProMedica Hospice.
