Betty Josephine Buck

Beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Betty Josephine (Jo) Buck was born on 31 August 1928 in Milford, Indiana to Edwin E. and Pauline (Yates) Parfitt. The family was originally from southern Illinois and after Betty was born they moved to South Bend.
Betty graduated first from Lincoln School and then John Adams High School in 1946. She married Cecil Buck, Jr. on 16 August 1947 at the home of her parents.
On 18 January 2013 Betty died in Elkhart, Indiana. She is survived by three children and one brother Leslie Yates Parfitt of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Carroll (Jeanne) Parfitt and Paul Parfitt, two sisters Frieda Parfitt and Patricia Parfitt, and her daughter Kathleen Buck.
Betty was devoted to her family and her pets most of all, and enjoyed watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish play football, doing crossword puzzles, writing poetry, and keeping up with current events. She will be missed every day.
