Eugene R. Thomas, 60, of 23046 Indiana 23, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Thomas was a supervisor for C. & C. Machine Department of Quality Machine Co.
He was born July 16, 1928, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct. 22, 1949, in South Bend, he married Rita Milewski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mary “Sue” Allsop of North Liberty; two sons, Michael of South Bend and John of Walkerton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Donald of Niles and Richard of Lowell, Mass.; and his mother, Helen Thomas of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
