SOUTH BEND – Christine Evelyn Gaines, 67, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, died Dec. 22 in Cumberland Medical Center, Crossville, Tenn.
Mrs. Gaines was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Cincinnati. In 1953, in South Bend, as Christine E. Webb, she married Haywood Gaines. He survives with two sisters, Jean I. Sellers and Patricia G. Sellers, both of Cleveland, and a brother, Harold Webb of Claremont, Calif.
Services were Dec. 27 in Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Burial was in Chattanooga (Tenn.) National Cemetery. She was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Crossville, handled arrangements.
