SOUTH BEND – Roger W. Adkins, 60, formerly of South Bend, died at 12:00 p.m. Friday in Naples (Fla.) Community Hospital after an illness.

Mr. Adkins was a retired business man and investor. He was born March 18, 1930, in South Bend and moved to Florida in 1990 from Goodrich, Mich. His wife, the former Elizabeth Lehner, survives. Also surviving are four sons, Gary of Santa Barbara, Calif., Terence of Ypsilanti, Mich., Barry of West Bloomfield, Mich., and Perry of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Statzer of Harriman, Tenn.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the River Park Church of Christ, Rolls Royce Owners Club, Inc., Porsche Club of America, Ferrari Club of America, Studebaker Club, Drivers Club and Corvette Club, and was a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology, Detroit.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at River Park Church of Christ. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave.
