WARSAW, IN - Joan Kizer, 88, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 2:25 a.m. at Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on July 29, 1930 to Harry H. and Mae (Parker) Dibble in South Bend, Indiana.

She had been a resident of Granger for 34 years, then moved to Warsaw in 2009. She married Jack D. Kizer on November 25, 1950 in South Bend.

She was a retired Real Estate Broker, an avid Bridge player, and a voracious reader.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Jill (spouse Steve) Beehler and her son, James D. (spouse Candace) Kizer both of Warsaw; grandchildren, Katie (spouse Maximilian) Maile of Warsaw, Kiel (spouse Jessica) Beehler of Greensboro, North Carolina, Alan Kizer of Pierceton, and Sabrina Kizer of Warsaw; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Ryan and Beckett Matthew Maile; and sister, Mae Floretta Bruner of New Jersey.

She is preceded by her parents, husband Jack on January 13, 2016, and a sister, Carolyn Metzger.

Visitation hours are scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Private interment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger, Indiana.

The family is requesting that the memorial contributions be made to the Warsaw Community Public Library, 310 E. Main St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
