SOUTH BEND – Robert M. Feltes, 64, of Alexandria, Va., formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday in Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va., after an illness.

Mr. Feltes was employed by Hernandez Engineering Inc., Greenbelt, Md. He was born May 30, 1930, in South Bend and lived here until 1967.

In 1959, in South Bend, he married Martha Sriver. She died in 1978. On Feb. 5, 1993, he married Bernice Robertson. She survives with a brother, Jack of South Bend; three nieces, Barbara Benoit of Sterling, Va., Cathy Feltes of South Bend and Vicki Eisner of Michigan City; and two nephews, Michael and Douglas Feltes, both of South Bend.

He was a graduate of Purdue University and a veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fort Myer Chapel, Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, Va., is in charge of arrangements. There will be memorial services at a later date in South Bend.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
