Joan Jean Smith

Joan J. Smith, 68, residing at 609 Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, in Fountainview Place Nursing Home, Mishawaka.
Joan was employed for 17 years at Ridge Auto Parts, South Bend, Ind. She was born on May 8, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Paul and Grace Albertson Meyers, and had lived in the South Bend - Mishawaka area all her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracy Stutesman of South Bend; two sons, Forrest Smith of Elkhart, Ind., and Shawn Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandsons; and by a sister, Joyce Evanoff of Phoenix, Ariz.
Services for Joan J. Smith will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Greg D. Crump of South Side Church of God will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Family.
