Granger-LeRoy “Moose” Charles Barritt, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Moose was born on March 8, 1931 in Kankakee, IL to LeRoy William and Leona Sophia (Heil) Barritt. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He married the former Sandra Joan Hildebrandt. Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra; son, Mark LeRoy (Debbie) Barritt of Colorado; daughter, Beth Maureen Wiechman of Kansas; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Brenda (Bill) Carbon of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews who he was more of a father and grandfather to. LeRoy was a Magistrate/District Court Administrator for the 7th District Court in Van Buren Paw Paw, MI. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Moose loved to wood carve, music and photography. He was good at playing any instrument you placed in from of him. He will always be remembered for being good at bad jokes. Moose was a do everything kind of guy with a fearless and creative soul.
