Walter C. Pickavet Sr.
Jun. 4, 1928 – Dec. 18, 1989
WALKERTON – Memorial services for Walter C. Pickavet Sr., 61, of 515 Georgia St., who died about 11 p.m. Monday in Highland Hospital, Sebring, Fla., will be at 3 p.m. today at Bible Fellowship Church, Sebring. Cremation will take place.
Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake, was in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Pickavet retired as a field distributor for Standard Oil Co. He was born June 4, 1928, in South Bend, and lived in Walkerton for 40 years, going there from South Bend.
On March 11, 1950, in Mishawaka, he married Lea L. Daniels, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn Hellinga of LaPorte and Doris Fuentes of Walkerton; a son, Walter Jr. of Osceola; six grandchildren; and his mother, Mary Coddens of South Bend.
He was a member of Walkerton Presbyterian Church, Bible Fellowship Church, Sebring and Life Link Donors of Florida.
