WILLIS A. MCCASTER III

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Willis Anthony McCaster III, 26, affectionately called "June," passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008. He was born on May 6, 1981, in South Bend, to Willis Anthony and Constance Ann (Cleveland) McCaster Jr.

Willis attended the South Bend Public Schools and graduated from John Adams High School.

He was a general laborer. Mr. McCaster was a member of Grace Memorial COGIC, and loved basketball and spending time with his family.

Loving family members who survive include one son, Payton McCaster of South Bend; his parents, Constance McCaster of Cleveland, Ohio, and Willis (Leanette) McCaster Jr. of South Bend; two sisters, Monique Edwards of South Bend and Wynona McCaster of Ohio; brothers, Carlos Thomas, Tyler Crawford, Tyreese Campbell, Tyson Crawford, Marcus Parker and Randall McCaster, all of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Willis and Ruth McCaster, South Bend; maternal grandmother, Gladys Lester of Maple Heights, Ohio; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Bennett; aunts, Rae Phelps, Ida Phelps and Cynthia (Tommy) Dent, all of South Bend, and Paulette Cleveland of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Johnny Phelps, Jimmy Phelps, Ronald (Tracey) McCaster, Chris (Sherry) McCaster, Demond McCaster, Ivory McCaster, Exavier McCaster and Jamere McCaster, all of South Bend; along with other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Robert and Oza Griffin; two aunts, Minnie Eiland and Wynona Cleveland; and two uncles, Marvin Cleveland and James Cleveland Jr. Funeral services for Mr. McCaster will be held at noon Thursday, March 27, in Praise Fellowship COGIC, with Pastor Al Tatum officiating.
