SOUTH BEND - George E. Warner, 53, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, after a brief illness. George was born on April 14, 1960, in South Bend, to Howard and Jean (Hutchinson) Warner. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving George are his three children, Scott Warner, Melissa (Jose) Galicia and Krista Warner, all of South Bend; three grandchildren, Abigail C., Leila L. and Alanna M. Galicia; two sisters, Karen (Aaron) Franklin of TX and Jan (Brian) Price of South Bend; and his longtime companion, Peggy Sherman; and many nieces and nephews.

George worked for Holiday Corp. for many years and was owner of Warner Refrigeration. He loved being outdoors and fishing; he was a member of the NRA, B.A.S.S., HOG, ABATE, and received R.S.E.S & A.C.C.A certifications from IVY Tech.

Visitation will from be 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 11, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, in the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Chrisman officiating. Burial will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery, North Liberty.
