Sept. 28, 1941 – April 5, 2005

James F. Haag, 63, of Granger, Ind., passed away Tuesday morning April 5, 2005. Born Sept. 28, 1941, in South Bend, to the late Gerald and Norma (Kolling) Haag.

On Nov. 6, 1971, in South Bend, he married Carol Jean Wallisch, who survives along with his sons, James F. and Dianne Haag II of San Diego, Calif., Timothy and Mary E. Haag of South Bend and a stepdaughter, Lisa Muellner Lobel (Eric) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jachary J., Matthew J., Joshua T. and James F. III; three brothers, William R. (Sherry) Haag of Grayling, Mich., Kenneth E. Haag of Indianapolis, IN, and Gerald L. Haag of Cartersville, GA.

Jim retired in 2000 from I & M Electric Co., where he was a CT metering technician, working for 31 years. He graduated from John Adams High School. He was an active member of the South Bend Elks #236, council Oak Lodge #745 F & AM, where he served twice as Master and belonged to the Oak Shrine Temple in Michigan City and the South Bend Shrine Club, the Avalon Grotto. He was active in the Shrine Motor Patrol, Brass Band and the Hillbillies, Jim was the director of the Scottish Rite Choir and participated in the ritual cast of the Lodge. He was the Supreme Lecturer of the Grand Lodge of Indiana and was a Grand Lodge representative. Jim was awarded the (MSA) in 2000.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening, April 8, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North,17033 Cleveland Road, with the Rev. Earl Rynearson of Abundant Life Fellowship officiating, and a Masonic Memorial service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m.
