Sonja Jean (Hoover) Kerrihard
Sonja Jean Kerrihard (Hoover), 86, died peacefully in Peoria, Illinois on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Sonja was born in South Bend and graduated from John Adams High School in 1955. In 1959, she married Bowen Kerrihard. She was a stay-at-home mom for years to raise her family of three girls. In 1991, she moved to Peoria to pursue her career in Occupational Therapy where she met and married Jim Baske.
Sonja pursued creativity in many ways but was most famous for her excellent seamstress skills. She was involved in many locally activities such as her sorority and The League of Women Voters, being a class mother for her three daughters. She loved being with her family and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jim Baske; her three daughters: Kelly Teegardin (Terry), Shannon Gray (Paul) and Erin Duffy (Sean) and her five grandchildren, Tyler Teegardin, Trent Teegardin and Troy Teegardin, Fiona Duffy, Delaney Duffy and her sister, Sherry Schropp.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bowen Kerrihard, and her sister Suzanne Knoble.
A celebration of life will take place on March 30 at 1 p.m in Peoria, Illinois at Wilton Mortuary, 2101 N. Knoxville Ave.In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Sonja Kerrihard's name.

So sorry to hear about Sonja's death. We are all getting OLD! She lived across the street from me when we were growing up. Later her folks moved down the block in our same neighborhood. If anyone is in touch with her family, please give them my condolences.
