Rosemary DiRenzo broke free from the chains of Alzheimer's disease, passing peacefully on Jan. 5, 2022, at Meadowbrook Healthcare, Plattsburgh, N.Y., at the age of 79.


Rosie was born Aug. 15th, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., to Louis Vincent Moraschi and Ivy Schlarb. Rosie was raised by her maternal aunt and uncle, Bernice and Kenneth Apger.
After graduating from John Adams High School in June of 1960, she was employed as a secretary for the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and then by United Airlines as a flight attendant.
Rosemary married her first husband, Ralph C. Glenn on March 7, 1964. They relocated to Plattsburgh with their daughters, Kathleen and Karin. She was employed at Packaging Corporation of America for many years as an administrative assistant. Rosemary's second marriage was to Dave DiRenzo with whom she shared a love of exercise and the great outdoors. Together they climbed the 46 Adirondack Peaks twice.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, David Alfonzo DiRenzo, her children and their spouses, Anthony Louis DiRenzo, Kathleen Jo Glenn-Roberts (Larry), Lisa Renee Keegan (James), Karin Glenn Kellman, Jacqueline Mary Arevalo (Louis), and Joseph David DiRenzo; by her grandchildren, Alexis Renee Michaud, Brody David Michaud, Fynn Larabee White, Josephine Elizabeth White, Joli Sage Kellman and Jett Austin Kellman; and by her great-grandchild Ariah Skyler Welsh, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her biological parents, Louis Vincent Moraschi and Ivy Schlarb, her adoptive parents, Kenneth and Bernice Apger, her brother Frank Moraschi and sister Sharon Ment.
Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 14th, 2022, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 15th, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Divine Mercy Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/donate.
