Betty L. (Walcott) Martz
Betty L. Martz, 82 years old, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare in Mishawaka. Betty was born on October 24, 1940 in South Bend to the late Herbert and Sarah (Koger) Walcott. She was a lifelong resident of South Bend. On February 14, 1974 in South Bend, Betty and John Martz were united in marriage. John preceded her in death on April 28, 2019.
Betty is survived by her sister, Phyllis Coffman; sister-in-law, Glenda Walcott; nieces Debbie Coffman, Cindy (Brian) Good, and Robin Walcott-Rajski; and nephew, Rex Walcott, along with several great nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Crystal, Virginia, Barb and Caitlyn from Real Services for their care and concern for Betty. Thanks also to the staff at Brickyard Healthcare and Traditions Hospice for their care and keeping Betty comfortable.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Betty L. Martz may be donated to Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or to Pet Refuge, 4626 S.
