STEVENSVILLE - Bonnie (Jacks) Stauffer, 65, of Stevensville, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11A.M. Wednesday at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd., Stevensville with Rev. B. Gordon Barry officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Bonnie was born June 11, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Roy H. & Phyllis L. (Montgomery) Jacks. She graduated from Adams High School in South Bend in 1962, and attended Indiana University. She was a loving wife to her husband, Richard Stauffer, whom she married May 2nd, 1964. Bonnie was employed for many years at Ross United in Benton Harbor, and more recently at Bloomies Etc. in St. Joseph. She was a life member of the Women's Service League where she was active in the Follies. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and spending time at the lake cottage. She was an avid reader and a regular customer at Lincoln Township Library. Bonnie was a happy person with a quick wit who loved to make people laugh.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Dick; her daughter Amy (Scott) Neibauer of Cave Creek, AZ; her son Dave (Pam) Stauffer of Edina, MN; three granddaughters-Megan Neibauer, Lauren & Rachel Stauffer; and her parents Roy & Phyllis Jacks of Mishawaka, IN. She was preceded in death by her brother Joe Jacks on May 15, 2002.
