Fred Russell Fowler
August 18, 1947 ~ September 19, 2023 (age 76)
Fred Russell Fowler passed away September 19, 2023, after a long illness. He was born August 18, 1947, in Rochester, NY to Rev. Dr. Daniel Webster and Frances Fowler. He attended school in South Bend, Indiana, where his family lived while he was growing up.
Fred moved to Florida where he was a full-time lifeguard for the City of West Palm Beach. He owned a restaurant for a time. He met his loving wife, Noreen, and they later moved back to South Bend. They were married, August 10, 1996, in South Bend.
Fred owned Chem Plas Co. for many years. He was a generous caring son, husband and brother and did many things for others. After his father’s death in 1992, he and Noreen cared for his mother for many years.
Fred is survived by his wife, Noreen, his brothers, Daniel W. Fowler Jr. (Mary), Richard R. Fowler (Terry); sister-in-law, Nancy Dukes; nephews, Daniel III, Christopher, and Lucas; nieces, Audrey and Nyona; and Godson, Josh Pratt (Britton).
Fred will be sorely missed by his entire family and wealth of friends, special among them, Tom Cooper, Ali Mojarrad and caregiver Lorra Jean Gleva.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church, 333 W Colfax Ave, South Bend, IN 46601 with a gathering following the memorial service.
