Marilyn Beal Sanders

Marilyn Beal Sanders died May 15, 2022, in Pueblo, Colorado, due to complications of heart failure and dementia. She was born October 22, 1924, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Merle and Lucille Beal.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70+ years, Harry M. Sanders.

It is difficult to describe her many occupations and avocations during her 97+ years on this Earth. Mother and guidance counselor to 4 active children, sewing teacher, driving instructor, farm wife, 4-H parent, concert attendee, sports mom, bakery owner, and lawn and garden supply distributor. She was an avid reader, bridge player, and jigsaw puzzler. She managed moves from Indiana to Illinois, Iowa, Idaho, Michigan, South Carolina, New Mexico, and Colorado. Marilyn and Harry travelled to many parts of the United States in their various RVs.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory daughters Penelope Dukes (Chester George), Pueblo West, CO and Diana (Michael) Brinsko, Pueblo West, CO and sons Daniel M. Sanders (Margaret Powers), Okoboji, IA and Hugh A. (Debi) Sanders, Bloomington, IN. Also, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Donations in her honor may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, Pueblo, CO, your local 4-H club or animal shelter.
