John Meredith Yuncker

SOUTH BEND - John "Jack" Yuncker, 85, died February 25, 2009, in San Diego, CA, his home for the last 20 years.
Born in Frankfort, IN, he grew up in South Bend, IN. He served in the Army in Europe and Japan during World War II.
Jack was in the first graduating class of Adams High School and then graduated from the business school of the University of Colorado in Boulder.
He was president and general manager of the former Coca-Cola Bottling Company of South Bend for 27 years before retiring to Santa Fe, NM. A watercolorist, he was active in the art community there.
The Yunckers moved to San Diego in 1988.
Jack is survived by Lou Ellen Yuncker, his wife of 60 years; their daughter, Christy Happ, and son-in-law, George of Fairbanks, Alaska; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Bill Klem of South Bend.
