Eileen Marie Victor

Eileen M. Victor, 45, of Somersworth Drive, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in her residence.

Eileen was born on October 8, 1959, in West Lafayette, Indiana, to James and Helen (Logan) Manley. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1978, and attended Memorial Hospital School of Nursing located in South Bend, graduating with the highest of honors. On March 20, 1986, in Atlanta, GA, she married David A. Victor. While in Atlanta she was employed by Emory Hospital where she obtained certification in Nephrology Nursing. When she moved back to South Bend she was employed by Nephrology, Inc. Most recently, Eileen was employed by the Avon Corp. while raising her two daughters, Bridget and Morgan. Due to her determination and hard work, Eileen earned the level of the prestigious President Club with Avon. Eileen was actively involved at St. Matthew's School where she served as secretary of the Home and School Association. However, despite all of these accomplishments, her most rewarding job was the raising of her two daughters, Bridget and Morgan.

Surviving are her husband, David A. Victor of South Bend; two daughters, Bridget and Morgan at home; her mother, Helen Manley of South Bend; two sisters, Katie (Jim) Lohr of Naperville, IL, and Mary (Mike) Bramlett of South Bend; two brothers, Tom (Mimi) Manley of South Bend and Bob Manley of Mishawaka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eileen was preceded in death by her father, James Manley, and by a niece, Mariah Lohr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005, in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridget and Morgan Victor Education Fund, c/o the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.
