Nancy Pierce

July 6, 1955 - May 13, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS - Nancy passed away at Hennipenn Community Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm. She was with her extended family who loved her very much. She was a joy to them and them to her.

Nancy was born to Professor Louis Pierce and Geraldine C Pierce in Needham, MA. Nancy graduated from John Adams High School in 1973. She attended Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and she earned her BS in Computer Science & Psychology at Illinois State University, Normal, IL, in 1993. For a time Nancy worked and taught at Elgin College, IL, before she migrated to Minneapolis where she was Director of Information Technology for United Health Care.

Nancy loved to travel and did so extensively with her companion Kris all over the world. Nancy was an amazing woman who was blessed to be around people who shared her gift of love of others and helped each other in the travails of life for which her immediate family will be forever grateful.

She leaves behind her mother, Geraldine; 3 brothers, Louis (Melinda), Jerry (Kathy), John; and sister, Susan.

A memorial service will be held in Minneapolis on June 9, 2017, after which she'll be brought to Highland Cemetery and interred next to her father.
