Beauty Sue Thomas, lovingly known as Susie, transitioned peacefully on July 26th, 2023, at her residence. Beauty was born on February 17th, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana and lived a life that embodied her unique name. She was a humble soul who embraced life with open arms, and her spirit remained undimmed throughout her years. Beauty found joy in the simple, yet profound aspects of life - being comfortable and free-spirited.

Being a lifelong resident of South Bend, IN, Beauty attended Oliver Elementary school and Jefferson Middle School. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1974. After high school, Beauty carved out a life of her own that was rich in experiences and relationships.

Beauty Sue, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt is survived by her siblings. Deborah J. Williams of East Point, GA, Elder Jerry A Thomas, Adal A (Danielle) Smith Jr, Ralph E (Christy) Smith Sr., all of South Bend, Indiana. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved family members and friends. Each of these individuals held a special place in Beauty’s heart, and she in theirs.

She was preceded in death by her father Joe N Thomas, mother Betty B. Smith, stepfather Adal A Smith Sr., and brother John F. Smith.
