Michael Wood

Michael Wood, 65, residing on Rue Gauguin Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:40 p.m. on Monday, May 8, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
He was born on April 20, 1935, in South Bend, to the late John C. and Mary R. (Mast) Wood, and had lived in this area most of his life. He retired in 1989 from AT&T following 35 years of service.
Mr. Wood is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Ann and Andre Ellis of South Bend; a son, John Michael Wood of South Bend; and by a granddaughter, Jennifer.
Funeral services for Michael Wood will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Don Francis will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
The family will receive friends one hour before services on Thursday in the funeral home.
