Rodney Thomas Rienks

Jun. 21, 1932 - May 18, 1998

Rodney T. Rienks, 65, of Kenneth Avenue, Edwardsburg, Mich., passed away at 6:33 p.m. on Monday, May 18, in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Ind.

Mr. Rienks was born on June 21, 1932, in Prairie Du Chien, Wis., as the son of the late Henry and Ethelyn (Du Charme) Rienks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Joan (Dye) Rienks on April 7, 1969; and by a brother, Dennis Rienks on April 1, 1994.

He had been an area resident for 40 years, coming from Prairie Du Chien.

He is survived by two sons, Dan C. (Debbie) Rienks of Dunlap, Ind., and Rodney C. Rienks of Elkhart; four grandchildren; and his friend and companion, Wanda Robillard of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by two sisters, Linda Buell of Osceola, Ind., and Shirley Aplara of Lock Ridge, Iowa.

Mr. Rienks was a draftsman for 30 years at Dodge Manufacturing, retiring in 1992. He was the past vice-president of Steel Worker's Union Local #3385, and was a member of the B-K Club in Mishawaka. He was also a member of Soar and United Steel Workers of America.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st, in the Hahn Funeral Home, with Rev. Vern Granger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
