Eleanor Joan Robertson

Ellie Robertson Eleanor J. McCarthy Robertson, 90, of Santa Maria died June 15, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Robertson was born in March 1926 in South Bend, Indiana, to Henry and Allegonda Polman.

She moved to Glendale in 1965, settling in Arroyo Grande in 1968 and Santa Maria in 2003. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Santa Maria.

She is survived by her two children, Monica E. McCarthy and John H. McCarthy (Whitney); two grandchildren, Emmalee and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome R. Robertson in 2004 and her brother, Raymond of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., in February 2015.

Cremation has taken place at the request of Mrs. Robertson and a graveside service will be held at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery at 1:00pm on Friday, June 24, 2016. A reception will follow in Santa Maria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dignity Health Hospice of Santa Maria. Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, directors.
