Dorothy M. Ringer May 24, 1928 - Mar. 12, 2014 PLYMOUTH - Dorothy M. Ringer, 85, passed away at her home on Nataka Trail, Plymouth at 10:45 PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born the daughter of Clarence L. & Ethel R. (Niswonger) Blakeley on May 24, 1928 in South Bend, Indiana.

She was a 1946 graduate of South Bend Adams High School. She worked at the Kresge's Dime store for 3yrs and also worked 3yrs at Indiana Bell Telephone as an operator.

On May 15, 1950, Ken & Dorothy were united in married at the E.U.B. parsonage. Dorothy worked along side her husband who was a 4th generation farmer. She was a great cook and mother to their four children. Dorothy was active through the years with the Home & Hobby Home Ec. Club whom she enjoyed making noodles and lap quilts with. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening and loved watching and feeding the birds. She and her husband were longtime members of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Her surviving children and grandchildren are: son David C. "Dave" and Cheri Ringer of Plymouth and their daughter Aimee Ringer, daughter Sharon D. and Jim Stewart of Plymouth and their children; Josh (Rachel) Stewart, Abbey Stewart, and Adam (Jennie) Stewart, son Richard A. "Rich" and Sherry Ringer of Plymouth and son Andrew S. "Andy" Ringer of Plymouth. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Mary Blakeley and Rose Ringer along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth on April 13, 2009, her brother Donald Blakeley and brother-in-law Ralph Ringer.

The family wishes to honor her request for no public visitation or services. Memorial gifts in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563 or the Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
