Jo Ann Acquisti, 81, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, died at 12:32 p.m. Sunday, at William Beaumont Hospital located in Royal Oak, Michigan.

She was born Dec. 13, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Dorothy (Melton) and Earl M. Douglas.

Mrs. Acquisti was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith.

On Feb, 20, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana, she married her beloved husband, Jordan Peter Acquisti, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Jo Ann is survived by the greatest loves in her life, daughter, Deborah Acquisti of Birmingham, MI; son and daughter-in-law, David and Audrey Acquisti of Ortonville, MI. Also surviving are Jo Ann's twin nieces, Janet Lemler of Greentown; Mary Haverstick of Leo, Indiana and their family members.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., where visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial rites will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jo Ann's memory, to The Michigan Humane Society or The Horses' Haven in Howell, Michigan, with envelopes available.

Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, Greentown, Indiana, is assisting the family with arrangements.
