In Memory
Richard King Schall
Mar. 5, 1928 - Feb. 13, 2021
Richard King Schall passed away in his sleep on February 13, 2021, just a few weeks shy of his 93rd birthday.
Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Richard devoted his life to education and teaching others. While teaching music at the University of Kansas, he met his wife of over 60 years, Charlsia. Richard was well known as a compassionate, friendly, and intelligent educator, both at the collegiate and elementary levels. He and his wife spent much of their retirement volunteering at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, Washington. For many Christmas seasons, Richard would ride the Santa Clause train and lead the passengers in carols as Mr. Bells. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Charlsia, and his sons Timothy, Peter, and Andrick. In lieu of a service, Charlsia asks that you spend time with loved ones, hug your family members warmly, and donate to the charity of your choice.
