Jane Anne Arnold

Aug. 13, 1930 – Aug. 19, 1989

Jane B. Arnold, 59, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Evansville, died Thursday in Sarasota after a long illness.

She was a docent at the Evansville Museum of Arts and Science, and was a member of the Junior League in Evansville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian in Evansville.

She had been a member of the Garden Club, and belonged to the Evansville Artists Guild. She was an alumnae of Indiana University, where she studied art, and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Surviving are two daughters, Laurie Kay Strothman of Sarasota and Anne A. Olenek of Long Grove, Ill.; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Wallace D. Buchanan of Sarasota; and a sister, Sally B. Giordano of Sarasota.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Vamo United Methodist Church  in Sarasota.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
