Sherwood O. “Bunky” Johnson, 56, of 246 Village Drive, Mishawaka, died at 4.10 a.m. today in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an Illness. Mr. Johnson was a salesman for Zimmer Homes, Bristol, and worked in the mobile home industry for more than 25 years.
He was born June 16, 1930, in South Bend and lived here most of his life. On June 25, 1966, in South Bend, he married Judith M. Jackson, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Julie Marie and Jennifer Leigh, both at home; and a brother, Lowell T. of Arlington, Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd.
He attended the University of Notre Dame and was a 1948 graduate of Adams High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
